Screen: New Project
What is this screen?
The New Project screen is used to create and register a new project in the system. From here you can specify the associated client, define basic information, and add additional notes.

How to use this screen
1. Screen title
At the top of the screen, you will see the title “New Project”, indicating that you are creating a new project.
2. Project details
Fill in the form fields in the usual order:
Client
- What it is: The client associated with the project.
- How to use it: Select a client from the drop-down list.
- Required: Yes.
Creation date
- What it is: The date when the project is created.
- How to use it: Select the date from the calendar.
- Recommended value: Current date.
Project name
- What it is: Identifying name of the project.
- How to use it: Enter a descriptive name (e.g., Residential renovation – Main Street).
- Required: Yes.
Project type
- What it is: Classification of the type of work to be carried out.
- How to use it: Select the project type from the drop-down list.
3. Project location
This section contains the address where the project is carried out.
Address
- What it is: Street and number of the project location.
- How to use it: Enter the full address.
Postal code
- What it is: Postal code of the location.
- How to use it: Enter the corresponding postal code.
City / Town
- What it is: Municipality where the project is located.
- How to use it: Enter the city or town name.
Province / State
- What it is: Province or state of the project.
- How to use it: Enter the province or state.
Country
- What it is: Country where the project is carried out.
- How to use it: Enter the country (usually the same for all projects).
4. Notes
- What it is: Free text field for additional information.
- How to use it: Enter any clarification, comment, or relevant note about the project.

- Special client instructions
5. Action buttons
At the bottom of the screen you will find the main buttons:
Save
- Function: Saves the new project with all entered data.
- What happens: If the data is correct, the project is registered in the system.
Cancel
- Function: Cancels project creation.
- What happens: Changes are discarded and the system returns to the previous screen without saving.
Recommendations
- Make sure all required fields are completed before clicking Save.
- Use clear project names to make future identification easier.
- Use the Notes field to record any important details.
Screen: Edit Project
What is this screen?
The Edit Project screen allows you to view and modify the data of an existing project. From this screen, you can select a previously created project, review its information, and update any necessary details.

How to use this screen
1. Screen title
At the top of the screen, the title “Edit Project” is displayed, indicating that you are working with an existing project.
2. Project selection
Project
- What it is: The project you want to view or edit.
- How to use it: Select a project from the drop-down list.
- What happens: When a project is selected, the system automatically loads all its data into the form.
- Required: Yes.
3. Project details
Once the project is selected, you can review and modify the following fields:
Client
- What it is: Client associated with the project.
- How to use it: Select a different client if the association needs to be changed.
Project name
- What it is: Identifying name of the project.
- How to use it: Modify the name if necessary.
- Recommendation: Use clear and descriptive names.
Creation date
- What it is: Project creation date.
- How to use it: You can modify it by selecting a new date from the calendar.
Project type
- What it is: Project category.
- How to use it: Select a different project type if applicable.
4. Project location
This section contains the project’s location details:
Address
- What it is: Street and number where the project takes place.
- How to use it: Update the address if it has changed.
Postal code
- What it is: Postal code of the location.
- How to use it: Enter the correct postal code.
City / Town
- What it is: Municipality of the project.
- How to use it: Enter or modify the city or town.
Province / State
- What it is: Province or state where the project is located.
- How to use it: Update the province or state if necessary.
Country
- What it is: Country where the project is carried out.
- How to use it: Modify the country only if necessary.
5. Notes
- What it is: Free text field for additional project information.
- How to use it: Enter any relevant clarification or comment.

- Internal notes
6. Action buttons
Save
- Function: Saves the changes made to the project.
- What happens: The system updates the information of the selected project.
Cancel
- Function: Cancels editing.
- What happens: Changes are discarded and the system returns to the previous screen.
Recommendations
- Make sure you have selected the correct project before making changes.
- Review all data before clicking Save.
- Use the Notes field to record any important modifications.
